The Mountain
The hightest mountain in England and Wales or come to that, south of the Scottish Highlands, is Snowdon or, as the Welsh call it, Yr Wyddfa in heart of the Snowdonia National Park, North Wales.
At an altitude of 1085 metres, or 3560 feet, it stands head and shoulders above any of the mountains in England, a full 100 metres above Scafell Pike.
There are some very popular routes up Snowdon, each with it's own charms and challenges, but there also large parts of this mountain where you can still get away from it all. These are accessible to most of average fitness, but a pair of boots is diffinately worthwhile.

Your Day
Typically you will start out along the Pyg Track from Pen-y-Pass making our way to the top and descend down the Miners track back to Pen-y-Pass. We will travel at a pace that is comfortable for the party and ensure that there are plenty of breaks.
The actual route on the day will depend on a number of factors including weather
The day will probably average 6-7 hours on the mountain
